Welcome and updates
On Friday, Swen Lorenz of Undervalued Shares (a site you should check out if you don’t know it already) wrote a nice piece about my blog which triggered quite a few new subscriptions.
So, welcome to all of you!
Since you are new here, let me explain to you how this works.
This blog is free and always will be. I have no commercial interests with this blog. I just write it because I am passionate about markets and investing and love the conversations I have with my readers.
On Mondays, I write about ESG investing and sustainable finance, on Wednesdays about philosophical, high-level investment topics and on Fridays about the entertaining side of finance and economics. Tuesdays and Thursdays are without any specific overarching theme, so if you think five articles a week are too many, just check in on the day of the week that most interests you.
For the readers who are reading this blog for some time now, I have some updates.
My book is apparently so interesting that my publisher has decided to create an audiobook that will become available in a few months’ time. If you want to get an overview of the contents, I recommend the conversation I had with Andrew Stotz for his podcast My Worst Investment Ever, where I had the rather dubious honor of being his first repeat guest…
Furthermore, thanks to the help of all my friends at the CFA Institute, I will present the book at several CFA Societies in coming months:
Please reach out to the local societies linked above for more information about the event and come and join me for a fun discussion of the terrible mistakes I have made in my career as an investor.
Finally, I would like to use the opportunity to promote the CFA Institute Annual Conference (taking place in Atlanta this year). If you are a professional investor, there is no better conference to attend. I might be dragging down the level this year with my presentation, but trust me when I say, this is a must-join conference every year. Personally, I am attending every year and come back with tons of new ideas and many things that I have learned.
