Funny business, indeed. Looks even funnier from the inside. As for the media choice, the most important thing is what we are advertising and to whom. For instance, it makes little sense to target teenagers and young adults using TV and radio. In my eyes, it's not so much about underestimating the medium but its audiences: usually the older and the less well-off. As for the power of TV, every marketer is well aware of it but the group we can target using it is shrinking.

One huge business between investing and advertising is that the investors can fairly freely choose what they invest in but marketers hardly ever get to choose what they're advertising.

It is vs an expenditure of 100, so effectively a % scale
