I have a different opinion. Germany is on its way becoming ‘the sick man of Europe’., not only due to its dependency on the fossil fuel of Vlad the Mad. The once famous Autobahn isn’t the racetrack it used to be. Last year I travelled from Nordrhein Westfalen to Bavaria and was flabbergasted by all the repair done on the roads. Nearly every 40 miles there was a roadblock. And the digital payment infrastructure in Bavaria has still to be constructed, whereas the French (due to COVID?) accept contactless payments (even in the most rural regions)….

Nur mal so am Rande erwähnt, Anfang der 80er Jahre war der Austro Pop aber meilenweit der Neuen Deutsche Welle enteilt und zeitlich um Dekaden voraus ;-)
