n my course, after pointing out how I define “nice” and how we as a species should promote that which is nice and tamp down in that which is nasty, I go on to warn about the fact that we should do our best to try not to enlist the services of malignant narcissists to be out top leaders.

Unfortunately in Trump we have a malignant narcissist who is off the charts on all 9 characteristics of narcissism. He also demonstrates sociopathic and psychopathic characteristics.

So we are basically doing the exact opposite of what we should be doing.

We’re allowing a creep to run the show and to engage in nastiness.

This will most likely catch up to us in one way or another.

It’ll most likely be a result of someone getting a hold of AI and using it as a tool to cause big problems. These problems will come in the form of cyber attacks, military technologies that will be impossible to defend against and/or bioweapons that will wreak havoc or worse.

In Biden and Kamala we had what amounts to horrendous leadership and with Trump we have what amounts to horrendously horrific leadership.

All of this is to say that it’s not likely to end well.

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge'.” -- Isaac Asimov, 1980
