Ha! Cool. I looked at the paper to see if they looked at the difference between men and woman (they did not, quite a big shortcoming in my opinion).
The reason I am curious is that my wife is a (very) big horror fan and I am not sure if her anxiety levels rose less than others. I would be very happy to know :D
Me on the other hand, not a fan at all and for sure my anxiety levels rose. I can't say whether it rose more or less than average :)

Interesting, because I guess that there are far more male horror film fans than female. So your wife might be extraordinary in several respects.
