Voluntary carbon credits have become big business as more and more companies purchase these offsets to reduce their net emissions while they make structural changes to their operations and try to become net zero in the future.
There is a difference between carbon credits for avoided deforestation and reforestation / afforestation. Former needs work but is necessary. Latter (what I do with my business) can only happen if we get paid by selling carbon credits.
