In the UK and across Europe, the focus of governments increasingly shifts towards the long-term costs of rebuilding our economy after the worst economic crisis in 80 years.
There are a couple of funds in the making that will invest exclusively in carbon certificates. I know of one vehicle that was ready to launch just before the Covid crisis hit and the had to postpone. So at the moment, I think there are none, but I expect at least one to launch in the next 12 months.
I don’t give investment advice here and don’t know the product. Having read the description it looks interesting but it also looks like it almost exclusively in the European emission trading scheme, which would bother me from a diversification perspective.
I would want something that is exposed to the US, Canada, Europe, Sweden, China all in a meaningful way.
What’s a vehicle you might use to get long exposure?

What about this one? https://www.ipathetn.com/US/16/en/details.app?instrumentId=369782
Ticker is GRN on NYSE.
Should note it’s Euro carbon credits which trade in EUR but this one is a USD instrument. I haven’t found any US based funds.

There was a WisdomTree EU Carbon credit ETF, but they delisted it earlier.this year. GRN is difficult for us Europeans to buy because of PRIIPS.
